Domains — the database's venue-derived domains; a paper can count in several
Databases, data management, data science and information retrieval · 2 · 1 first-authorArtificial intelligence and machine learning · 1 · 1 first-authorSoftware engineering, systems software and programming languages · 1 · 1 first-authorApplied, interdisciplinary, general and emerging computing · 1 · 1 first-author
Expertise — from the expertise taxonomy: the topics of the expert's papers under the CCF categories. A weight counts papers with recency: 1 for a paper about the topic, 0.3 when the topic is its context, halved every five years.

| 1990 | Supporting queries in the O-Raid object-oriented database systemabstractThe authors present the query language SQL++ used in the O-Raid object-oriented database system. SQL++ is an extension to the relational query language SQL that adds object-oriented capabilities. It supports object-oriented database capabilities such as subobject referencing, method invocation, navigational queries, and 'implicit joins' while maintaining the relational capabilities and closure property of SQL. SQL++ also has an application program interface that solves the 'impedance mismatch' problem for C++ application programs, allowing them to store and retrieve objects in the database without the need to translate from one data format to another.> James G.
