2026 OneSug: The Unified End-to-End Generative Framework for E-commerce Query Suggestion
abstract
Query suggestion plays a crucial role in enhancing user experience in e-commerce search systems by providing relevant query recommendations that align with users' initial input. This module helps users navigate towards personalized preference needs and reduces typing effort, thereby improving search experience. Traditional query suggestion modules usually adopt multi-stage cascading architectures, for making a well trade-off between system response time and business conversion. But they often suffer from inefficiencies and suboptimal performance due to inconsistent optimization objectives across stages. To address these, we propose OneSug, the first end-to-end generative framework for e-commerce query suggestion. OneSug incorporates a prefix2query representation enhancement module to enrich prefixes using semantically and interactively related queries to bridge content and business characteristics, an encoder-decoder generative model that unifies the query suggestion process, and a reward-weighted ranking strategy with behavior-level weights to capture fine-grained user preferences. Extensive evaluations on large-scale industry datasets demonstrate OneSug's ability for effective and efficient query suggestion. Furthermore, OneSug has been successfully deployed for the entire traffic on the e-commerce search engine in TEST platform for over 1 month, with statistically significant improvements in user top click position (-9.33%), CTR (+2.01%), Order (+2.04%), and Revenue (+1.69%) over the online multi-stage strategy, showing great potential in e-commercial conversion.

2025 UniECS: Unified Multimodal E-Commerce Search Framework with Gated Cross-modal Fusion
abstract
The growth of e-commerce has created substantial demand for multimodal search systems that process diverse visual and textual inputs. Current e-commerce multimodal retrieval systems face two key limitations: they optimize for specific tasks with fixed modality pairings, and lack comprehensive benchmarks for evaluating unified retrieval approaches. To address these challenges, we introduce UniECS, a unified multimodal e-commerce search framework that handles all retrieval scenarios across image, text, and their combinations. Our work makes three key contributions. First, we propose a flexible architecture with a novel gated multimodal encoder that uses adaptive fusion mechanisms. This encoder integrates different modality representations while handling missing modalities. Second, we develop a comprehensive training strategy to optimize learning. It combines cross-modal alignment loss (CMAL), cohesive local alignment loss (CLAL), intra-modal contrastive loss (IMCL), and adaptive loss weighting. Third, we create M-BEER, a carefully curated multimodal benchmark containing 50K product pairs for e-commerce search evaluation. Extensive experiments demonstrate that UniECS consistently outperforms existing methods across four e-commerce benchmarks with fine-tuning or zero-shot evaluation. On our M-BEER bench, UniECS achieves substantial improvements in cross-modal tasks (up to 28% gain in R@10 for text-to-image retrieval) while maintaining parameter efficiency (0.2B parameters) compared to larger models like GME-Qwen2VL (2B) and MM-Embed (8B). Furthermore, we deploy UniECS in the e-commerce search platform of Kuaishou Inc. across two search scenarios, achieving notable improvements in Click-Through Rate (+2.74%) and Revenue (+8.33%). The comprehensive evaluation demonstrates the effectiveness of our approach in both experimental and real-world settings. Corresponding codes, models and datasets will be made publicly available at https://github.com/qzp2018/UniECS.

2024 Genuine On-Chain and Off-Chain Collaboration: Achieving Secure and Non-Repudiable File Sharing in Blockchain Applications
abstract
Blockchain’s immutable and traceable records and independence from third-party involvement make it an irreplaceable tool in applications involving multiple stakeholders. However, securely sharing off-chain files among stakeholders while ensuring non-repudiation is a significant challenge. This is because blockchain cannot monitor off-chain behavior, and stakeholders may refuse to acknowledge records on the chain. In this study, we propose an efficient solution for secure file sharing among stakeholders through on-chain and off-chain collaboration for blockchain applications with additional off-chain storage modules. Specifically, we design an adapted blockchain structure and propose a consensus process integrated with the sharing process to manage off-chain behavior and prevent delivery repudiation. We also incorporate a ciphertext policy into the sharing process to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of the shared file. Additionally, we propose a watermarking protocol in conjunction with blockchain records to hold unauthorized disclosure behavior accountable. Our scheme extends the management scope of blockchain to off-chain and achieves 32x, 19x, and 1.48x higher throughput than Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Fabric, respectively.

2021 Biobjective Robust Incentive Mechanism Design for Mobile Crowdsensing
abstract
In recent years, mobile crowdsensing has become an effective method for large-scale data collection. Incentive mechanism is fundamentally important for mobile crowdsensing systems. Many mobile crowdsensing systems expect to optimize multiple objectives simultaneously. Most of the existing works transform the multiobjective problem into a single objective problem through constraints or scalarization method. However, due to the uncertain importance (weights) of objectives and the instable quality of crowdsensed data, such transformation is usually unrealizable. In this article, we aim to optimize the worst performance of two objective functions in mobile crowdsensing in order to improve the system robustness. We model an auction-based biobjective robust mobile crowdsensing system, and design two independent objective functions to maximize the expected profit and coverage, respectively. We formulate the robust user selection (RUS) problem, and design an incentive mechanism, which utilizes the combination of binary search and greedy algorithm, to solve the RUS problem. Through both rigorous theoretical analysis and extensive simulations, we demonstrate that the designed incentive mechanisms satisfy desirable properties of computational efficiency, individual rationality, truthfulness, and constant approximation to the tightened RUS problem. Moreover, the proposed incentive mechanism can be easily extended to multiobjective robust mobile crowdsensing systems, and all desirable properties still hold. The simulation results reveal that our incentive mechanism achieves 11% improvement of the platform’s utility, compared with the greedy algorithm for biobjective mobile crowdsensing systems on average.

2019 PANDA: A comprehensive and flexible tool for quantitative proteomics data analysis
abstract
SUMMARY: As the experiment techniques and strategies in quantitative proteomics are improving rapidly, the corresponding algorithms and tools for protein quantification with high accuracy and precision are continuously required to be proposed. Here, we present a comprehensive and flexible tool named PANDA for proteomics data quantification. PANDA, which supports both label-free and labeled quantifications, is compatible with existing peptide identification tools and pipelines with considerable flexibility. Compared with MaxQuant on several complex datasets, PANDA was proved to be more accurate and precise with less computation time. Additionally, PANDA is an easy-to-use desktop application tool with user-friendly interfaces. AVAILABILITY AND IMPLEMENTATION: PANDA is freely available for download at https://sourceforge.net/projects/panda-tools/. SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Supplementary data are available at Bioinformatics online.
