2006 Design of a CMOS low-voltage low-power circuit for an integrated pulsed ultrasonic distance measurement system
abstract
The design of a mixed-signal CMOS low-voltage low-power circuit for a compact-size pulsed ultrasonic distance measurement system for obstacle detection is proposed. The presented mixed-signal CMOS circuit is completely realized with hardware components and does not employ microcontrollers. The whole circuit system works at a power supply of 0.9 V and dissipates no more than 267 muW. SPICE simulations are performed to validate the designed performances

2006 Chaotic p-ary sequences with exponential auto-correlation properties based on piecewise linear maps
abstract
Chaotic p-ary sequences with exponential autocorrelation functions are designed by using fully stretching piecewise linear maps where a result for binary sequences is applied. Some design examples and numerical experiments of chaotic ternary sequences are also demonstrated

2006 A circuit design of ID-code and heartbeat signal processing blocks of a smart RFID tag for mice
abstract
The design of a mixed-signal CMOS circuit of ID-code and heartbeat signal processing blocks of a smart RF ID tag for mouse's heartbeat signal extraction is proposed. This smart RF ID tag has been under development for monitoring heartbeat signals from an electrocardiogram (ECG) microsensor and/or a pressure microsensor implanted in a transgenic mouse. This tag has an ID-code of 64-bits in length and generates heartbeat signal in the form of a position-pulse sequence

1997 Statistics of chaotic binary sequences
abstract
Statistical properties of binary sequences generated by a class of ergodic maps with some symmetric properties are discussed on the basis of an ensemble-average technique. We give a simple sufficient condition for such a class of maps to produce a fair Bernoulli sequence, that is, a sequence of independent and identically distributed (i.i.d.) binary random variables. This condition is expressed in terms of binary function, which is a generalized version of the Rademacher function for the dyadic map.
