2024 Emotional Elements in Scientific Publications' Abstracts: An Affective-Centric Experiment
abstract
Scientists play a pivotal role in advancing our understanding of the world, contributing not only through objective and rational work but also by incorporating their emotions into scientific discourse. The affective side of science is gaining increased attention. Building on this line of inquiry, this study explores the impact of emotional elements and sentiment analysis within abstracts published in the journal Nature over the past 10 years, adopting an affective-centric perspective on scientific endeavors. The research aims to explore the presence and trends of emotional elements and sentiments in these abstracts and to investigate the correlation between these emotional elements and citation counts, considering the influence of emotions on decision-making. The novelty of this research lies in not only considering sentiment analysis but also employing two distinct emotion detection techniques on the abstracts. The study employs a hybrid approach that integrates Lexicon-based, Deep Learning (DL), and Natural Language Toolkit (NLTK) sentiment analysis methods to explore diverse emotional dimensions through text emotion detection. The results demonstrate the presence of emotions and positive sentiment trends in the abstracts and positive sentiments in scientific abstracts were more prevalent and are associated with higher citation rates. It also highlights the observation that diverse emotions are prevalent in the most cited papers.

2022 The human role in Human-centric Industry
abstract
Fourth industrial revolution, also known as Industry 4.0 (I4.0), was suppose to be a transformative revolution that enables industries to move from being a technology and product-centred premise to become a human-centric one. However, the development of this perspective within I4.0 has not been yet fulfilled. In this regard, the idea of Industry 5.0 (I5.0) is focused on such a concept of human-centeredness and implies that technology, organizations, and individual working places must be adapted to human and societal needs. By breaking down relevant and recent literature in a systematic way, present article analysed three specific aspects related to human-centric manufacturing include understanding the role of humans, the required labour skills, and the various challenges that I5.0 has attempted while placing the human perspective as a fundamental industrial pillar. It also delivered a Roadmap for I5.0 skills exploitation and perform outreach activities which contribute to the backbone of I5.0, while having a discussion towards human-cantered, and technology-supported jobs.

2022 Self-organization of a highly flexible shop floor - From Muti-agent based interactions to an echolocation-inspired automation system
abstract
In last decades, novel manufacturing requirements have introduced the need of having higher levels of automation in manufacturing shop-floors. Supervisory and centralized approaches are not able to provide the scalability, modularity and autonomy required in the fourth industrial revolution. Self-organizing ideas from nature are very promising and have not been highly explored in manufacturing automation. The contribution of this paper goes towards that direction. We first define a highly flexible shop-floor and the interaction of the elements is proposed considering a multi-agent based negotiation. From this point, we introduce and define analogies and patterns based on the echolocation of bats that can be applied in manufacturing automation. These patterns are based on the way how bats hunt and avoid obstacles based on the emission of sound and echo perception. These ideas are showcased using the matrix production concept which proofs the feasibility of the current approach. Various conclusions, limitations and potential future works are described at the end of the paper.

2021 Multi-agent based manufacturing: current trends and challenges
abstract
The advent of Industry 4.0 and the development of future industrial applications can be achieved using Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS). This technological development invokes high levels of communication and computation in the form of an interconnected network of industrial resources. Multi-agent systems precisely can empower such technological evolution by introducing properties like decentralisation, autonomy, flexibility, social ability and modularity to the industrial context. In this regard, the current work surveys recent multi-agent based manufacturing approaches and provides a general vision of current trends focusing on frameworks/architectures, complementary technologies and common applications. This article ends with an integrated discussion of emerging agent-based industrial challenges, a general conclusion and final remarks.
