| 2025 | CMMLoc: Advancing Text-to-PointCloud Localization with Cauchy-Mixture-Model Based FrameworkabstractThe goal of point cloud localization based on linguistic description is to identify a 3D position using textual description in large urban environments, which has potential applications in various fields, such as determining the location for vehicle pickup or goods delivery. Ideally, for a textual description and its corresponding 3D location, the objects around the 3D location should be fully described in the text description. However, in practical scenarios, e.g., vehicle pickup, passengers usually describe only the part of the most significant and nearby surroundings instead of the entire environment. In response to this partially relevant challenge, we propose CMMLoc, an uncertainty-aware Cauchy-Mixture-Model (CMM) based framework for text-to-point-cloud Localization. To model the uncertain semantic relations between text and point cloud, we integrate CMM constraints as a prior during the interaction between the two modalities. We further design a spatial consolidation scheme to enable adaptive aggregation of different 3D objects with varying receptive fields. To achieve precise localization, we propose a cardinal direction integration module alongside a modality pre-alignment strategy, helping capture the spatial relationships among objects and bringing the 3D objects closer to the text modality. Comprehensive experiments validate that CMMLoc outperforms existing methods, achieving state-of-the-art results on the KITTI360Pose dataset. | 2025 | CGNet: Classification-Guided Multi-Task Interactive Network for Hyperspectral and Multispectral Image FusionabstractThe goal of fusing hyperspectral images (HSI) and multispectral images (MSI) is to generate high-resolution hyperspectral images for downstream tasks. However, most existing methods overlook the specific requirements of these tasks, leading to a gap between the fusion process and its subsequent applications due to insufficient guidance from downstream tasks. To address this issue, we propose a classification-guided multitask interactive network (CGNet) that integrates both fusion and classification tasks into a unified framework, with two branches producing the fused image and classification results, respectively. In the fusion branch, we design a multi-level residual refinement module to efficiently integrate spatial and spectral information. Additionally, an attention-based multi-scale fusion module, incorporating both spatial and channel attention, is carefully crafted to enhance representation learning. In the classification branch, both 2-D and 3-D convolutions are employed to improve classification performance. Moreover, an information interaction module is proposed to guide the fusion task based on classification outcomes. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method outperforms state-of-the-art approaches on the Pavia Centre and Pavia University datasets. | 2025 | Benchmarking and Bridging Emotion Conflicts for Multimodal Emotion ReasoningabstractDespite their strong performance in multimodal emotion reasoning, existing Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) often overlook the scenarios involving emotion conflicts, where emotional cues from different modalities are inconsistent. To fill this gap, we first introduce CA-MER, a new benchmark designed to examine MLLMs under realistic emotion conflicts. It consists of three subsets: video-aligned, audio-aligned, and consistent, where only one or all modalities reflect the true emotion. However, evaluations on our CA-MER reveal that current state-of-the-art emotion MLLMs systematically over-rely on audio signal during emotion conflicts, neglecting critical cues from visual modality. To mitigate this bias, we propose MoSEAR, a parameter-efficient framework that promotes balanced modality integration. MoSEAR consists of two modules: (1)MoSE, modality-specific experts with a regularized gating mechanism that reduces modality bias in the fine-tuning heads; and (2)AR, an attention reallocation mechanism that rebalances modality contributions in frozen backbones during inference. Our framework offers two key advantages: it mitigates emotion conflicts and improves performance on consistent samples-without incurring a trade-off between audio and visual modalities. Experiments on multiple benchmarks-including MER2023, EMER, DFEW, and our CA-MER-demonstrate that MoSEAR achieves state-of-the-art performance, particularly under modality conflict conditions. | 2025 | AffordBot: 3D Fine-grained Embodied Reasoning via Multimodal Large Language ModelsabstractEffective human-agent collaboration in physical environments requires understanding not only what to act upon, but also where the actionable elements are and how to interact with them. Existing approaches often operate at the object level or disjointedly handle fine-grained affordance reasoning, lacking coherent, instruction-driven grounding and reasoning. In this work, we introduce a new task: Fine-grained 3D Embodied Reasoning, which requires an agent to predict, for each referenced affordance element in a 3D scene, a structured triplet comprising its spatial location, motion type, and motion axis, based on a task instruction. To solve this task, we propose AffordBot, a novel framework that integrates Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) with a tailored chain-of-thought (CoT) reasoning paradigm. To bridge the gap between 3D input and 2D-compatible MLLMs, we render surround-view images of the scene and project 3D element candidates into these views, forming a rich visual representation aligned with the scene geometry. Our CoT pipeline begins with an active perception stage, prompting the MLLM to select the most informative viewpoint based on the instruction, before proceeding with step-by-step reasoning to localize affordance elements and infer plausible interaction motions. Evaluated on the SceneFun3D dataset, AffordBot achieves state-of-the-art performance, demonstrating strong generalization and physically grounded reasoning with only 3D point cloud input and MLLMs. Our code is available at [https://github.com/hannahwxy/AffordBot](https://github.com/hannahwxy/AffordBot). | 2024 | Illumination-Enhanced Infrared and Low-Light Visible Image FusionabstractInfrared and visible image fusion aims to generate fused images with rich texture details and salient targets. However, existing methods often ignore illumination conditions, and the fusion results under low-light conditions lack texture details. To solve this problem, we propose an illumination-enhanced infrared and visible image fusion method, named IEFusion. Specifically, we first design a feature decomposition network based on retinex theory to obtain enhanced features of infrared and visible images. Then, the cross-modal feature fusion module is used to fuse important features. Finally, a gradient-enhanced image reconstructor is designed to enhance the gradient and generate a fused image. In addition, we design a contrastive learning module to guide the network to focus on deep features and maximize the mutual information of fused and enhanced images. Extensive experiments demonstrate the superiority of our IEFusion over the state-of-the-art methods, in both qualitative and quantitative metrics.
