2025 CAMP-Net: Consistency-Aware Multi-Prior Network for Accelerated MRI Reconstruction
abstract
Undersampling -space data in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) reduces scan time but pose challenges in image reconstruction. Considerable progress has been made in reconstructing accelerated MRI. However, restoration of high-frequency image details in highly undersampled data remains challenging. To address this issue, we propose CAMP-Net, an unrolling-based Consistency-Aware Multi-Prior Network for accelerated MRI reconstruction. CAMP-Net leverages complementary multi-prior knowledge and multi-slice information from various domains to enhance reconstruction quality. Specifically, CAMP-Net comprises three interleaved modules for image enhancement, -space restoration, and calibration consistency, respectively. These modules jointly learn priors from data in image domain, -domain, and calibration region, respectively, in data-driven manner during each unrolled iteration. Notably, the encoded calibration prior knowledge extracted from auto-calibrating signals implicitly guides the learning of consistency-aware -space correlation for reliable interpolation of missing -space data. To maximize the benefits of image domain and -domain prior knowledge, the reconstructions are aggregated in a frequency fusion module, exploiting their complementary properties to optimize the trade-off between artifact removal and fine detail preservation. Additionally, we incorporate a surface data fidelity layer during the learning of -domain and calibration domain priors to prevent degradation of the reconstruction caused by padding-induced data imperfections. We evaluate the generalizability and robustness of our method on three large public datasets with varying acceleration factors and sampling patterns. The experimental results demonstrate that our method outperforms state-of-the-art approaches in terms of both reconstruction quality and mapping estimation, particularly in scenarios with high acceleration factors.

2025 Semi-Supervised Knee Cartilage Segmentation With Successive Eigen Noise-Assisted Mean Teacher Knowledge Distillation
abstract
Knee cartilage segmentation for Knee Osteoarthritis (OA) diagnosis is challenging due to domain shifts from varying MRI scanning technologies. Existing cross-modality approaches often use paired order matching or style translation techniques to align features. Still, these methods can sacrifice discrimination in less prominent cartilages and overlook critical higher-order correlations and semantic information. To address this issue, we propose a novel framework called Successive Eigen Noise-assisted Mean Teacher Knowledge Distillation (SEN-MTKD) for adapting 2D knee MRI images across different modalities using partially labeled data. Our approach includes the Eigen Low-rank Subspace (ELRS) module, which employs low-rank approximations to generate meaningful pseudo-labels from domain-invariant feature representations progressively. Complementing this, the Successive Eigen Noise (SEN) module introduces advanced data perturbation to enhance discrimination and diversity in small cartilage classes. Additionally, we propose a subspace-based feature distillation loss mechanism (LRBD) to manage variance and leverage rich intermediate representations within the teacher model, ensuring robust feature representation and labeling. Our framework identifies a mutual cross-domain subspace using higher-order structures and lower energy latent features, providing reliable supervision for the student model. Extensive experiments on public and private datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of our method over state-of-the-art benchmarks. The code is available at github.com/AmmarKhawer/SEN-MTKD.

2005 Actuator fault isolation and estimation for uncertain nonlinear systems
abstract
This paper considers observer based actuator fault isolation schemes for a class of uncertain nonlinear systems. To deal with a broader class of uncertain non-linearities, we propose novel diagnostic observers, which combine Thau's observer with sliding mode observers and are primarily designed for actuator fault diagnostic purposes. The uncertain nonlinearities that can be attacked may include both Lipschitz uncertain nonlinearities and those uncertain nonlinearities that are not Lipschitz but satisfy certain matching conditions. The design of observer boils down to the solving of LMIs, which can easily be done using the Matlab LMI toolbox. Using the proposed observers, two actuator fault isolation schemes are designed. Unlike the existing techniques, using only m observers in the first approach and only one observer in the second approach, our proposed schemes can isolate any number of actuator faults occurring at the same time. In addition, both proposed schemes are capable of estimating the faults.

2005 A Novel Fuzzy System With Dynamic Rule Base
abstract
A new fuzzy system containing a dynamic rule base is proposed in this paper. The novelty of the proposed system is in the dynamic nature of its rule base which has a fixed number of rules and allows the fuzzy sets to dynamically change or move with the inputs. The number of the rules in the proposed system can be small, and chosen by the designer. The focus of this article is mainly on the approximation capability of this fuzzy system. The proposed system is capable of approximating any continuous function on an arbitrarily large compact domain. Moreover, it can even approximate any uniformly continuous function on infinite domains. This paper addresses existence conditions, and as well provides constructive sufficient conditions so that the new fuzzy system can approximate any continuous function with bounded partial derivatives. Finally, an example is given to show how the proposed fuzzy system can be effectively used for system modeling and control
