Domains — the database's venue-derived domains; a paper can count in several

Applied, interdisciplinary, general and emerging computing · 2 · 1 first-author

Expertise — from the expertise taxonomy: the topics of the expert's papers under the CCF categories. A weight counts papers with recency: 1 for a paper about the topic, 0.3 when the topic is its context, halved every five years.

1994 Emerging residential broadband telecommunications
abstract
Although near-term benefits are driving both telephone companies and cable operators to deliver residential services over optical fiber, in the longer term fiber enables new interactive, multimedia, switched "Information Age" services. The authors address residential fiber deployment, and opportunities for these two industries to work together in providing new services.>

1993 Evolution of fiber access systems to ATM broadband networking
abstract
Some of the factors stimulating the use of asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) are discussed. The objective of extending the flexibility and features that ATM provides from the switching and interoffice network to the local access network to reach the residential and small-business customers is discussed. How the ATM technique could be applied to fiber-in-the-loop (FITL) systems to meet this objective is considered.>
