2026 Human-Centric Video Generation via Collaborative Multi-Modal Conditioning
abstract
Human-Centric Video Generation (HCVG) methods seek to synthesize human videos from multimodal inputs, including text, images, and audio. Existing methods struggle to effectively coordinate these heterogeneous modalities due to two challenges: the scarcity of modality-complete data and the difficulty of jointly modeling triplet conditions without performance degradation. In this work, we present HuMo, a unified HCVG framework for collaborative multimodal control. For the first challenge, we construct an incomplete-yet-complementary dataset for improved data utilization efficiency and training scalability. For the second challenge, we propose a two-stage progressive multimodal training paradigm with task-specific strategies at each stage. In the first stage, to balance the text-following and subject-preservation abilities, we adopt the minimal-invasive image injection strategy. In the second stage, to enhance audio-visual sync, we propose a focus-by-predicting strategy that implicitly guides the model to associate audio with facial regions. For joint learning of controllabilities across multi-modal inputs, we progressively incorporate the audio-visual sync task, building on previously acquired capabilities. During inference, for flexible and fine-grained multimodal control, we design a stage-adaptive Classifier-Free Guidance strategy that dynamically adjusts guidance weights across denoising steps. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that HuMo surpasses specialized state-of-the-art methods in sub-tasks, establishing a unified framework for collaborative multimodal-conditioned HCVG.

2026 Neuron-Aware Active Few-Shot Learning for LLMs
abstract
Active Few-Shot Learning (AFSL) adapts LLMs to specialized domains by identifying the most valuable unlabeled samples for annotation and use as few-shot demonstrations, effectively reducing human annotation costs while promoting high performance. However, existing methods typically rely on output-level signals for the sample identification, such as predictive entropy or semantic similarities with test-time data based on external embeddings, which often overlook models' internal dynamics which could pinpoint specific knowledge gaps.To bridge this gap, we propose NEUFS, a Neuron-Aware Active Few-Shot Learning framework that shifts the selection paradigm from output-level proxies to models' internal dynamics.NEUFS utilizes neuron activation patterns to represent sample directly, and includes a dual-criteria selection strategy that: (1) ensures few-shot sample diversity with neuron patterns for broader example coverage, while (2) prioritizing on identifying informative and challenging few-shot samples LLMs tend to hallucinate by quantifying neuron consensus.Experiments on three datasets demonstrate that NEUFS excels in both reasoning and text classification tasks, outperforming existing AFSL baselines.Ablation studies further highlight that internal neuron activations provide a more principled and effective selection signal than external embeddings, validating the superiority of the proposed NEUFS.

2025 CustomContrast: A Multilevel Contrastive Perspective for Subject-Driven Text-to-Image Customization
abstract
Subject-driven text-to-image (T2I) customization has drawn significant interest in academia and industry. This task enables pre-trained models to generate novel images based on unique subjects. Existing studies adopt a self-reconstructive perspective, focusing on capturing all details of a single image, which will misconstrue the specific image's irrelevant attributes (e.g., view, pose, and background) as the subject intrinsic attributes. This misconstruction leads to both overfitting or underfitting of irrelevant and intrinsic attributes of the subject, i.e., these attributes are over-represented or under-represented simultaneously, causing a trade-off between similarity and controllability. In this study, we argue an ideal subject representation can be achieved by a cross-differential perspective, i.e., decoupling subject intrinsic attributes from irrelevant attributes via contrastive learning, which allows the model to focus more on intrinsic attributes through intra-consistency (features of the same subject are spatially closer) and inter-distinctiveness (features of different subjects have distinguished differences). Specifically, we propose CustomContrast, a novel framework, which includes a Multilevel Contrastive Learning (MCL) paradigm and a Multimodal Feature Injection (MFI) Encoder. The MCL paradigm is used to extract intrinsic features of subjects from high-level semantics to low-level appearance through crossmodal semantic contrastive learning and multiscale appearance contrastive learning. To facilitate contrastive learning, we introduce the MFI encoder to capture cross-modal representations. Extensive experiments show the effectiveness of CustomContrast in subject similarity and text controllability.

2025 A4A: Adapter for Adapter Transfer via All-for-All Mapping for Cross-Architecture Models
abstract
Large-scale text-to-image models evolve rapidly in size and architecture. The existing adapters struggle to keep pace with these models, requiring extensive retraining. This paper proposes a novel adapter transfer framework, A4A (Adapter for Adapter), which uses an all-for-all mapping approach to seamlessly transfer attention-based adapters across different model architectures (e.g., U-Net to transformer). The framework consists of Coupling Space Projection and Upgraded Space Mapping. During Coupling Space Projection, all attention features of the pretrained adapter are aggregated to fully capture the coupling relationship before being projected into a unified space. The unified space maintains coupling features in a consistent dimension, effectively and efficiently addressing feature scale discrepancies arising from the base model’s architecture. In the Upgraded Space Mapping Module, randomly initialized learnable features are introduced to connect the unified and upgraded spaces by integrating reference features via the attention mechanism. The learned features are adaptively injected into the upgrade model through the Alignment module, which bridges the discrepancies between the models using the all-for-all mapping. Experimental results on personalized image generation tasks demonstrate that A4A outperforms previous methods in transferring adapters while being the first to achieve adapter transfer across model architectures.

2025 Phantom: Subject-Consistent Video Generation via Cross-Modal Alignment
abstract
The continuous development of foundational models for video generation is evolving into various applications, with subject-consistent video generation still in the exploratory stage. We refer to this as Subject-to-Video, which extracts subject elements from reference images and generates subject-consistent videos following textual instructions. We believe that the essence of subject-to-video lies in balancing the dual-modal prompts of text and image, thereby deeply and simultaneously aligning both text and visual content. To this end, we propose Phantom, a unified video generation framework for both single- and multi-subject references. Building on existing text-to-video and image-to-video architectures, we redesign the joint text-image injection model and drive it to learn cross-modal alignment via text-image-video triplet data. The proposed method achieves high-fidelity subject-consistent video generation while addressing issues of image content leakage and multi-subject confusion. Evaluation results indicate that our method outperforms other state-of-the-art closed-source commercial solutions. In particular, we emphasize subject consistency in human generation, covering existing ID-preserving video generation while offering enhanced advantages.

2025 OTESGN: Optimal Transport-Enhanced Syntactic-Semantic Graph Networks for Aspect-Based Sentiment Analysis
abstract
Aspect-based sentiment analysis (ABSA) aims to identify aspect terms and determine their sentiment polarity. While dependency trees combined with contextual semantics provide structural cues, existing approaches often rely on dotproduct similarity and fixed graphs, which limit their ability to capture nonlinear associations and adapt to noisy contexts. To address these limitations, we propose the Optimal TransportEnhanced Syntactic-Semantic Graph Network (OTESGN), a model that jointly integrates structural and distributional signals. Specifically, a Syntactic Graph-Aware Attention module models global dependencies with syntax-guided masking, while a Semantic Optimal Transport Attention module formulates aspect-opinion association as a distribution matching problem solved via the Sinkhorn algorithm. An Adaptive Attention Fusion mechanism balances heterogeneous features, and contrastive regularization enhances robustness. Extensive experiments on three benchmark datasets (Rest14, Laptop14, and Twitter) demonstrate that OTESGN delivers state-of-the-art performance. Notably, it surpasses competitive baselines by up to +1.30 Macro-F1 on Laptop14 and +1.01 on Twitter. Ablation studies and visualization analyses further highlight OTESGN's ability to capture finegrained sentiment associations and suppress noise from irrelevant context.

2025 Injecting Universal Jailbreak Backdoors into LLMs in Minutes
abstract
Jailbreak backdoor attacks on LLMs have garnered attention for their effectiveness and stealth. However, existing methods rely on the crafting of poisoned datasets and the time-consuming process of fine-tuning. In this work, we propose JailbreakEdit, a novel jailbreak backdoor injection method that exploits model editing techniques to inject a universal jailbreak backdoor into safety-aligned LLMs with minimal intervention *in minutes*. JailbreakEdit integrates a multi-node target estimation to estimate the jailbreak space, thus creating shortcuts from the backdoor to this estimated jailbreak space that induce jailbreak actions. Our attack effectively shifts the models' attention by attaching strong semantics to the backdoor, enabling it to bypass internal safety mechanisms. Experimental results show that JailbreakEdit achieves a high jailbreak success rate on jailbreak prompts while preserving generation quality, and safe performance on normal queries. Our findings underscore the effectiveness, stealthiness, and explainability of JailbreakEdit, emphasizing the need for more advanced defense mechanisms in LLMs.

2024 DreamIdentity: Enhanced Editability for Efficient Face-Identity Preserved Image Generation
abstract
While large-scale pre-trained text-to-image models can synthesize diverse and high-quality human-centric images, an intractable problem is how to preserve the face identity and follow the text prompts simultaneously for conditioned input face images and texts. Despite existing encoder-based methods achieving high efficiency and decent face similarity, the generated image often fails to follow the textual prompts. To ease this editability issue, we present DreamIdentity, to learn edit-friendly and accurate face-identity representations in the word embedding space. Specifically, we propose self-augmented editability learning to enhance the editability for projected embedding, which is achieved by constructing paired generated celebrity's face and edited celebrity images for training, aiming at transferring mature editability of off-the-shelf text-to-image models in celebrity to unseen identities. Furthermore, we design a novel dedicated face-identity encoder to learn an accurate representation of human faces, which applies multi-scale ID-aware features followed by a multi-embedding projector to generate the pseudo words in the text embedding space directly. Extensive experiments show that our method can generate more text-coherent and ID-preserved images with negligible time overhead compared to the standard text-to-image generation process.

2024 Enhancing Hindi Feature Representation through Fusion of Dual-Script Word Embeddings
abstract
Pretrained language models excel in various natural language processing tasks but often neglect the integration of different scripts within a language, constraining their ability to capture richer semantic information, such as in Hindi. In this work, we present a dual-script enhanced feature representation method for Hindi. We combine single-script features from Devanagari and Romanized Hindi Roberta using concatenation, addition, cross-attention, and convolutional networks. The experiment results show that using a dual-script approach significantly improves model performance across various tasks. The addition fusion technique excels in sequence generation tasks, while for text classification, the CNN-based dual-script enhanced representation performs best with longer sentences, and the addition fusion technique is more effective for shorter sequences. Our approach shows significant advantages in multiple natural language processing tasks, providing a new perspective on feature representation for Hindi. Our code has been released on https://github.com/JohnnyChanV/Hindi-Fusion.

2024 An Effective Deployment of Diffusion LM for Data Augmentation in Low-Resource Sentiment Classification
abstract
Sentiment classification (SC) often suffers from low-resource challenges such as domainspecific contexts, imbalanced label distributions, and few-shot scenarios. The potential of the diffusion language model (LM) for textual data augmentation (DA) remains unexplored, moreover, textual DA methods struggle to balance the diversity and consistency of new samples. Most DA methods either perform logical modifications or rephrase less important tokens in the original sequence with the language model. In the context of SC, strong emotional tokens could act critically on the sentiment of the whole sequence. Therefore, contrary to rephrasing less important context, we propose DiffusionCLS to leverage a diffusion LM to capture in-domain knowledge and generate pseudo samples by reconstructing strong label-related tokens. This approach ensures a balance between consistency and diversity, avoiding the introduction of noise and augmenting crucial features of datasets.Dif-fusionCLS also comprises a Noise-Resistant Training objective to help the model generalize.Experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of our method in various low-resource scenarios including domain-specific and domain-general problems.Ablation studies confirm the effectiveness of our framework's modules, and visualization studies highlight optimal deployment conditions, reinforcing our conclusions.

2024 PuLID: Pure and Lightning ID Customization via Contrastive Alignment
abstract
We propose Pure and Lightning ID customization (PuLID), a novel tuning-free ID customization method for text-to-image generation. By incorporating a Lightning T2I branch with a standard diffusion one, PuLID introduces both contrastive alignment loss and accurate ID loss, minimizing disruption to the original model and ensuring high ID fidelity. Experiments show that PuLID achieves superior performance in both ID fidelity and editability. Another attractive property of PuLID is that the image elements (\eg, background, lighting, composition, and style) before and after the ID insertion are kept as consistent as possible. 2023 Towards Accurate Image Coding: Improved Autoregressive Image Generation with Dynamic Vector Quantization
abstract
Existing vector quantization (VQ) based autoregressive models follow a two-stage generation paradigm that first learns a codebook to encode images as discrete codes, and then completes generation based on the learned code-book. However, they encode fixed-size image regions into fixed-length codes and ignore their naturally different information densities, which results in insufficiency in important regions and redundancy in unimportant ones, and finally degrades the generation quality and speed. Moreover, the fixed-length coding leads to an unnatural rasterscan autoregressive generation. To address the problem, we propose a novel two-stage framework: (1) Dynamic-Quantization VAE (DQ-VAE) which encodes image regions into variable-length codes based on their information densities for an accurate & compact code representation. (2) DQ-Transformer which thereby generates images autoregressively from coarse-grained (smooth regions with fewer codes) to fine-grained (details regions with more codes) by modeling the position and content of codes in each granularity alternately, through a novel stacked-transformer architecture and shared-content, non-shared position input layers designs. Comprehensive experiments on various generation tasks validate our superiorities in both effectiveness and efficiency. Code will be released at https://github.com/CrossmodalGroup/DynamicVectorQuantization.

2022 Background Layout Generation and Object Knowledge Transfer for Text-to-Image Generation
abstract
Text-to-Image generation (T2I) aims to generate realistic and semantically consistent images according to the natural language descriptions. Built upon the recent advances in generative adversarial networks (GANs), existing T2I models have made great process. However, a close inspection of their generated images shows two major limitations: 1) the background (e.g., fence, lake) of the generated image with the complicated, real-world scene tends to be unrealistic; 2) the object (e.g., elephant, zebra) in the generated image often presents highly distorted shape or key parts missing. To address these limitations, we propose a two-stage T2I approach, where the first stage redesigns the text-to-layout process to incorporate the background layout with the existing object layout, the second stage transfers the object knowledge from an existing class-to-image model to the layout-to-image process to improve the object fidelity. Specifically, a transformer-based architecture is introduced as the layout generator to learn the mapping from text to layout of object and background, and a Text-attended Layout-aware feature Normalization (TL-Norm) is proposed to adaptively transfer the object knowledge to the image generation. Benefitting from the background layout and transferred object knowledge, the proposed approach significantly surpasses previous state-of-the-art methods in the image quality metric and achieves superior image-text alignment performance.
