2026 Vision-MoR: Scaling Vision Transformer via Patch-Level Mixture-of-Recursions
abstract
Scaling Vision Transformers (ViTs) has yielded remarkable advancements in diverse vision tasks, albeit at the cost of escalating computational, memory, and parameter demands. Existing efficiency techniques typically address only one dimension, computation, memory, or parameters, lacking a cohesive approach. In this paper, we introduce Vision-MoR, a novel ViT architecture that unifies parameter sharing, spatially adaptive computation, and memory-efficient design into a single framework. Vision-MoR employs a spatial-aware router with shifted-window attention to dynamically assign per-patch recursion depths, coupled with a recursive Transformer loop enabling token-wise early exiting. This facilitates content-adaptive processing and recursive parameter reuse while preserving spatial locality. On ImageNet-1K, Vision-MoR Small attains 74.6% Top-1 accuracy with 140M FLOPs and 5.7M parameters, outperforming EfficientViT-M2 (70.8%) and SHViT-S1 (72.8%) at superior throughput. The Vision-MoR X-Large variant achieves 80.4% Top-1 and 95.2% Top-5 accuracy using 14.3M parameters and 2044M FLOPs, surpassing ResNet-50 and EfficientNet-B1. On COCO object detection, Vision-MoR X-Large yields 39.1 AP with the lowest latency among comparable models. These results underscore Vision-MoR's state-of-the-art accuracy-efficiency trade-offs, positioning it as a scalable, deployment-friendly backbone for real-time vision applications.

2026 3D4D: An Interactive, Editable, 4D World Model via 3D Video Generation
abstract
We introduce DreamLand, an interactive 4D visualization framework that integrates WebGL with Supersplat rendering. It transforms static images and text into coherent 4D scenes through four core modules and employs a foveated rendering strategy for efficient, real-time multi-modal interaction. This framework enables adaptive, user-driven exploration of complex 4D environments.

2026 Reason like a radiologist: Chain-of-thought and reinforcement learning for verifiable report generation
abstract
Radiology report generation is critical for efficiency, but current models often lack the structured reasoning of experts and the ability to explicitly ground findings in anatomical evidence, which limits clinical trust and explainability. This paper introduces BoxMed-RL, a unified training framework to generate spatially verifiable and explainable chest X-ray reports. BoxMed-RL advances chest X-ray report generation through two integrated phases: (1) Pretraining Phase. BoxMed-RL learns radiologist-like reasoning through medical concept learning and enforces spatial grounding with reinforcement learning. (2) Downstream Adapter Phase. Pretrained weights are frozen while a lightweight adapter ensures fluency and clinical credibility. Experiments on two widely used public benchmarks (MIMIC-CXR and IU X-Ray) demonstrate that BoxMed-RL achieves an average 7 % improvement in both METEOR and ROUGE-L metrics compared to state-of-the-art methods. An average 5 % improvement in large language model-based metrics further underscores BoxMed-RL's robustness in generating high-quality reports. Related code and training templates are publicly available at https://github.com/ayanglab/BoxMed-RL.

2025 ChemOrch: Empowering LLMs with Chemical Intelligence via Groundbreaking Synthetic Instructions
abstract
Empowering large language models (LLMs) with chemical intelligence remains a challenge due to the scarcity of high-quality, domain-specific instruction-response datasets and the misalignment of existing synthetic data generation pipelines with the inherently hierarchical and rule-governed structure of chemical information. To address this, we propose ChemOrch, a framework that synthesizes chemically grounded instruction–response pairs through a two-stage process: task-controlled instruction generation and tool-aware response construction. ChemOrch enables controllable diversity and levels of difficulty for the generated tasks and ensures response precision through tool planning \& distillation, and tool-based self-repair mechanisms. The effectiveness of ChemOrch is evaluated based on: 1) the \textbf{high quality} of generated instruction data, demonstrating superior diversity and strong alignment with chemical constraints; 2) the \textbf{dynamic generation of evaluation tasks} that more effectively reveal LLM weaknesses in chemistry; and 3) the significant \textbf{improvement of LLM chemistry capabilities} when the generated instruction data are used for fine-tuning. Our work thus represents a critical step toward scalable and verifiable chemical intelligence in LLMs. The code is available at \url{https://anonymous.4open.science/r/ChemOrch-854A}.

2023 RPN: A Word Vector Level Data Augmentation Algorithm in Deep Learning for Language Understanding
abstract
Data augmentation is a widely used technique in machine learning to improve model performance. However, existing data augmentation techniques in natural language understanding (NLU) may not fully capture the complexity of natural language variations, and they can be challenging to apply to large datasets. This paper proposes the Random Position Noise (RPN) algorithm, a novel data augmentation technique that operates at the word vector level. RPN modifies the word embeddings of the original text by introducing noise based on the existing values of selected word vectors, allowing for more fine-grained modifications and better capturing natural language variations. Unlike traditional data augmentation methods, RPN does not require gradients in the computational graph during virtual sample updates, making it simpler to apply to large datasets. Experimental results demonstrate that RPN consistently outperforms existing data augmentation techniques across various NLU tasks, including sentiment analysis, natural language inference, and paraphrase detection. Moreover, RPN performs well in low-resource settings and is applicable to any model featuring a word embeddings layer. The proposed RPN algorithm is a promising approach for enhancing NLU performance and addressing the challenges associated with traditional data augmentation techniques in large-scale NLU tasks. Our experimental results demonstrated that the RPN algorithm achieved state-of-the-art performance in all seven NLU tasks, thereby highlighting its effectiveness and potential for real-world NLU applications.
