2019 On computing distances and latencies in link streams
abstract
Link Streams were proposed as a model of temporal networks. We seek to understand topological and temporal properties of those objects through efficiently computing the distances, latencies and lengths of shortest fastest paths. We develop different algorithms to compute those values. One purpose of this study is to help compute centrality functions on link streams such as the betweenness and the closeness.

abstract
There have been constant changes in the biology and behavior of the vector and parasite involved in the transmission of malaria. There is limited interest in developing new technologies and procedures for controlling the underlying factors of this threat, which poses an enormous challenge to health systems. To understand the various vector species and their interrelations is of prime importance in understanding the transmission mechanisms of malaria in order to react efficiently. To attain this objective, we have used an ontological approach to produce a database that we consider to be our own contribution in helping to control malarial vectors if eradication has been unsuccessful in the previous control campaign.

1991 Parameter estimation for a burst-noise channel
abstract
The authors describe the estimation of the parameters of the Gilbert and Gilbert-Elliott models for burst-noise channels. Two estimation techniques are compared. The first estimation technique was proposed by Gilbert (1960) and is found to yield good estimates of the model parameters when the error sequences are long. The second estimation technique applies the theory of hidden Markov models to the parameter estimation problem. This technique does not require error sequences as long as those for Gilbert's technique and computes estimates with a lower variance. The second estimation technique is, however, more complex than Gilbert's approach.>
