2017 Searching and exploring software repositories in virtual reality
abstract
In this paper, we propose a new approach to visualization of software repositories that allow users to search and explore software projects in virtual reality. In provided environment, respective information structures are mapped to interactive 3D objects. We assume that such transformation of information space to its visible representation will enable the users to gain problem domain knowledge subliminally during the explorations, and that the acquired knowledge will help them to fulfill future tasks more effectively.

2015 Poster: Discovering Code Dependencies by Harnessing Developer's Activity
abstract
Monitoring software developer's interactions in an integrated development environment is sought for revealing new information about developers and developed software. In this paper we present an approach for identifying potential source code dependencies solely from interaction data. We identify three kinds of potential dependencies and additionally assign them to developer's activity as well, to reveal detailed task-related connections in the source code. Interaction data as a source allow us to identify these candidates for dependencies even for dynamically typed programming languages, or across multiple languages in the source code. After first evaluations and positive results we continue with collecting data in professional environment of Web developers, and evaluating our approach.

2006 Web Search Engine as a Bee Hive
abstract
A new approach to Web search that is based on a bee hive metaphor is presented. We proposed a modified model of a bee hive. Our model comprises of a dance floor, an auditorium, and a dispatch room. We have shown that the model is a true model of a bee hive in the sense it simulates several kinds of its typical behaviour. However, more importantly it is a simple model that describes some processes taking place in Web search. Our model incorporates also several kinds of uncertainty. The experiments show that uncertainty increases robustness of the search and makes it actually more efficient

1999 An Approach to Automated Building of Software System Configurations
abstract
In the paper, we concentrate on a method for building a software system configuration. We build configurations by defining the system's model first. We have introduced a model of a software system such as an AND/OR-type graph with two kinds of nodes: families and variants. Models serve as useful abstractions simplifying the process of configuration building. Being essentially a graph search, it is inevitable to have a method for selecting a proper version. To a software engineer our approach offers a framework for specifying various heuristics describing which versions are preferred. In our method, the search is further reduced by employing the concepts of generic and bound configurations and by dividing it into several fundamental steps.

1997 An Experience with the Use of Systems Engineer Case Tool
abstract
Systems Engineer is a client/server CASE tool for supporting software system development on PC machines under Windows. It compares fairly satisfactorily with other similar tools of the same category. Systems Engineer offers various supporting techniques which address the full software life cycle, from planning and design to code generation, reengineering and maintenance. It supports system engineers working in a team.
