2016 Immersive Scuba Diving Simulator Using Virtual Reality
abstract
We present Amphibian, a simulator to experience scuba diving virtually in a terrestrial setting. While existing diving simulators mostly focus on visual and aural displays, Amphibian simulates a wider variety of sensations experienced underwater. Users rest their torso on a motion platform to feel buoyancy. Their outstretched arms and legs are placed in a suspended harness to simulate drag as they swim. An Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) and a pair of headphones delineate the visual and auditory ocean scene. Additional senses simulated in Amphibian are breath motion, temperature changes, and tactile feedback through various sensors. Twelve experienced divers compared Amphibian to real-life scuba diving. We analyzed the system factors that influenced the users' sense of being there while using our simulator. We present future UI improvements for enhancing immersion in VR diving simulators.

2007 The validation and analysis of component-based metadata integration
abstract
Component decision and validation using political and analytical models are applicable in creating the foundation of component-based enterprise architecture. This research deals with both political and analytical models to take the results from the group decision for further development. We demonstrate how to use analysis and modeling techniques to produce the common component and service aggregation which is the foundation of enterprise integration. Decision input from human factors plays a crucial role in component-based design. We have extended the focus of the methods and techniques to component decision in supporting enterprise integration and ontology interoperability, to follow the nature of business performance. As we believe human interactivity in this early analysis and pre-design stage plays a key role in the integration's success, we have assessed the feasibility and received the consensus of the pre-design stage of industry.

2007 Micro process design and virtualization in the service industry
abstract
In this research we deal with the design stage by introducing the micro process and interconnectivity concept as the foundation of the service component design. Service virtualization is a new area requiring our attention as in the service industry all enterprise integration and industry silos need to be consolidated and form a main route. The service grid concept will provision a transparent and highly integrated framework to provide global service infrastructure which eliminates constraints in geography and the system we use. In this research paper we introduce a conceptual service provisioning with extension to interconnectivity as the service foundation. We further explore service virtualization based on the concept we introduced and on micro process design foundation.

2007 Decision Process and Fuzzy Techniques in Component Based Design
abstract
The interoperability of components requires both macro process in business context, semantic metadata, and micro process for service design and physical implementation, we apply this strategy as our objective to evaluate and validate the common component and service aggregation which is the pre-design of service interoperability. This research apply decision process, analytical model, and fuzzy techniques to take the result from group decision for further development, we demonstrate how to use these model and techniques to produce the common component and service aggregation which is the foundation of enterprise integration. Fuzzy interaction model has been used to those systems that need be decided with uncertainty, it represents tools to aid research in production management when the dynamics of the production environment limit the specification of model objectives, constraints and the precise measurement.
