2025 Radar Intra-Pulse Modulation Fast Perception via Adaptive Random Magnitude Channel Pruning and Knowledge Distillation
abstract
Towards the intelligent perception of radar intra-pulse modulation signals in complex environments, this paper proposes a method for fast recognition and SINR estimation of radar intra-pulse modulation signals. First, the adaptive random magnitude channel pruning algorithm (ARMCP) is designed to compress the YOLOv8n baseline model, coupled with channel-wise knowledge distillation (CWD) using the YOLOv8x large model as a teacher to restore the pruned YOLOv8n’s accuracy. Subsequently, a hybrid approach integrating hyper color segmenter and MobileNetv2 is employed for feature extraction within identified regions of interest (ROIs), facilitating the training of an XGBoost estimator for precise SINR prediction. The experimental results show that even at the pruning rate of 80%, the intra-pulse modulation recognition accuracy can still reach 99.07%, with a recognition speed of 3.2 ms, surpassing existing mainstream models such as YOLOv10 and YOLOv11. Additionally, the SINR estimation error is minimized to 0.958%, offering a novel paradigm and technical reference for advanced radar signal processing.

2025 An Attribute Description Transfer Based Model for Zero-Shot Intelligent Diagnosis of High-Voltage Circuit Breakers
abstract
In this article, a novel attribute description transfer based model for zero-shot intelligent diagnosis (ADT-ZSID) is proposed to address the challenges in diagnosing high-voltage circuit breakers (HVCBs), particularly the common incidence of new, unknown faults in practice. ADT-ZSID is designed to perform fault diagnosis without the need for training on unknown fault samples. First, universal fault attribute descriptions are defined by analyzing multisource signal features, considering the specific traits and fault patterns of HVCBs. Next, attribute classifiers are constructed using only easily accessible fault data. These classifiers implement cross-domain mapping between the feature space and the label space, establishing relationships among different fault patterns. Finally, the attribute vector of target faults is predicted by the classifiers, coupled with similarity evaluation, to achieve the zero-shot fault diagnosis task. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of ADT-ZSID in diagnosing target faults without requiring their training samples.

2013 Research on temperature retrieval and fault diagnosis of the cable joint
abstract
The cable joint faults account for a large percentage in the cable accidents, the temperature of the cable joint is an important parameter that reflects the cable's running state. This paper proposes a conductor temperature retrieval algorithm of cable joint. With the cable skin and metal sheath temperature, this method uses the steady-state temperature rise coefficient obtained by the least square method to reverse the temperature of the conductor. It can be applied to the cable joint temperature on-line monitoring and fault diagnosis.

2010 Parallel Numerical Computing of Finite Element Model of Conductors and Floating Potentials
abstract
In computational electromagnetics, parallel computing is more and more studied to deal with large-scale problems which are not able to execute by single PC. Many parallel computing example for electrostatic had been reported. But for electrostatic problems in which floating conductors exist, the realization of parallel is not reported. In the electrostatic model that contains floating conductors, the surfaces of such conductors represent equipotentials but do not constitute a Dirichlet boundary condition. So the partition of such model is difficult to control. This paper presented a way for the partition of the model containing floating conductors and a method that can be used to solve such problem through parallel system. An example which contained three floating conductors was computed by using the method introduced in this paper, the result was displayed and compared with conventional finite element model, the validity of the method is proved.

2009 Ultra High Voltage Transmission in China: Developments, Current Status and Future Prospects
abstract
The developments and current status of ultra high voltage (UHV) alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) transmission in China were reviewed in this paper. The UHV transmission historical developments in the past twenty years; the demand of development UHV transmission; the research results of the UHV key technologies including electromagnetic environment, over-voltage and insulation coordination, lightning performance, live-line working and equipment manufacture recent years in China; the design parameters and construction of UHV AC, UHV DC test and demonstration transmission lines, UHV AC, DC test bases and state grid simulation center were introduced. The suggestions at the aspects of UHV transmission future design, construction, commercial operation and maintenance were simply presented and discussed. The review and discussion are important for the safe and reliable operation of UHV grid in China and can be a reference for other countries that want to develop UHV AC and DC transmission.
