2019 Adsorption Pad using Capillary Force for Uneven Surface
abstract
We propose a novel adsorption pad for wall climbing robot and irregular surface object using capillary force and water sealing. We call this adsorption pad as Super Wet Adsorption pad. The SWA pad has a porous part and a capillary part. The porous part is made by salt reaching method. When the SWA pad adsorbs to the wall which some sand and dust are attached, water comes from the porous part to avoid vacuum breaking. The capillary part is connected to the porous part to supply and stock the water. In this paper, we show the design of the porous part and the capillary part, fabrication process of each parts, and perform the evaluation experiment of the capillary force and adsorption of uneven surfaces, demonstration of wall climbing robot and adsorption of irregular surface foods.

2017 Wall contact by octo-rotor UAV with one DoF manipulator for bridge inspection
abstract
This paper describes a octo-rotor unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) with one degree of freedom (DoF) manipulator for bridge inspection. The UAV has an ability to contact bridge pier to conduct hammering test. To control contact force applied by the UAV to the bridge pier, one DoF is enough for the manipulator implemented on the UAV. A preliminary experiment shows that the force is proportional to the pitch angle of the UAV when it contacts the bridge pier. A bridge pier contact experiment shows that our developed UAV can control contact force between its end-effector and the bridge pier; mean error of the contact force is 4.27 ± 3.64 [N] against 20[N] desired force.

2003 The development of the advanced carrier system by IDC (intelligent data career)
abstract
This paper shows propose the inexpensive and flexible carrier system with the AGV (automated guided vehicle) which is practical in the manufacturing process, making use of IDC (Intelligent Data Career) with the big capacity data and two-way communications. The characteristics of this system are "the simple and easy change of AGV route and number", "easily coexistence with a person". In order to verify the possibility of the system realization, we developed an algorithm of AGV traffic rule on our new concept and confirmed the effect of proposal system by computer simulation.

1997 Joystick velocity control of the "High Performance Econo" vehicle
abstract
This paper concerns the joystick control of the the high performance econo vehicle developed by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries featuring 2 independent fully actuated steering wheels. For this purpose, we propose a velocity control law based on the assumption of pure rolling without slipping wheel/road contact and the techniques of dynamic feedback linearization. It allows the robot's joystick control along 3 independent degrees of freedom: the longitudinal and lateral directions in the horizontal plane and the angular orientation about the vertical axis. Experiments on an asphalt road were performed at small speed which proved to be successful.
