2023 Arabic Sentiment Analysis of Food Delivery Services Reviews
abstract
Customer reviews on online platforms have grown to become an important source of insight into a company's performance. Food delivery services (FDS) companies aim to effectively use customers' feedback to identify areas for improvement of customer satisfaction. Although Arabic is becoming one of the most widely used languages on the Internet, only a few studies have focused on Arabic sentiment analysis to date. The present study conducts an extensive emotion mining and sentiment analysis on FDS-related reviews in Arabic, exploiting natural language processing, and machine learning techniques to extract information that reflects customers' subjective viewpoints, recognize their feelings, and determine polarity in the FDS domain. This work begins with collecting the FDS dataset (Talabat), and then extracting and creating a dialects lexicon for Arabic dialects, followed by walking the reader through detailed steps of cleaning and pre-processing a manually annotated dataset. Finally, we examined classification algorithms including Decision Tree (DT), and Support Vector Machine (SVM). We achieved a maximum accuracy of about 82% using the SVM classifier.

2023 Predictive Analysis of Jordan Road Accidents Severity Using Machine Learning
abstract
Jordan has a high and growing level of traffic accidents reaching 160,600) accidents in 2021, (11,241) of them had human injuries, (589) deaths, and (320) million JOD losses. Road traffic accidents are currently the 8th leading cause of death worldwide, accounting for about 1.35 million fatalities annually. Understanding the primary causes of these accidents and the circumstances in which they occur is essential if governments throughout the world are to put policies in place to limit the number of fatalities brought on by traffic accidents. This project has two objectives: (i) to learn more about Jordan's present road accident situation by performing an exploratory study on several road accident datasets, and (ii) to investigate the effectiveness of various machine-learning techniques in predicting the severity of road accidents in Jordan. The dataset entities were collected, collated, explored, and prepared for use in the model. To assess their predictive performance, five different classification algorithms were trained and tested. The findings of the present study demonstrate that the best algorithm was Logistic Regression, which had an accuracy of 98.1%.

2012 Portable section-level tuning of compiler parallelized applications
abstract
Automatic parallelization of sequential programs combined with tuning is an alternative to manual parallelization. This method has the potential to substantially increase productivity and is thus of critical importance for exploiting the increased computational power of today's multicores. A key difficulty is that parallelizing compilers are generally unable to estimate the performance impact of an optimization on a whole program or a program section at compile time; hence, the ultimate performance decision today rests with the developer. Building an autotuning system to remedy this situation is not a trivial task. This work presents a portable empirical autotuning system that operates at program-section granularity and partitions the compiler options into groups that can be tuned independently. To our knowledge, this is the first approach delivering an au-toparallelization system that ensures performance improvements for nearly all programs, eliminating the users' need to experiment with such tools to strive for highest application performance.
