| 2023 | Combining Fuzzy Partitioning and Incremental Methods to Construct a Scalable Decision Tree on Large DatasetsabstractThe Decision tree algorithm is a very popular classifier for reasoning through recursive partitioning of the data space. To choose the best attributes for splitting, the range of each continuous attribute should be split into two or more intervals. Then partitioning criteria are calculated for each value. Fuzzy partitioning can be used to reduce sensitivity to noise and increase tree stability. Also, tree-building algorithms face memory limitations as they need to keep the entire training dataset in the main memory. In this paper, we introduced a fuzzy decision tree approach based on fuzzy sets. To avoid storing the entire training dataset in the main memory and overcome the memory limitations, the algorithm incrementally builds FDTs. Membership functions are automatically generated. The Fuzzy Information Gain (FIG) is then used as the fast split attribute selection criterion, and leaf expansion is performed only on the instances stored in it. The efficiency of this algorithm is examined in terms of accuracy and tree complexity. The results show that the proposed algorithm can overcome memory limitations and balance accuracy and complexity while reducing the complexity of the tree. | 2020 | MMLT: A mutual multilevel trust framework based on trusted third parties in multicloud environmentsabstractSummary In this article, a mutual multilevel trust framework is proposed, which involves managing trust from the perspective of cloud users (CUs) and cloud service providers (CSPs) in a multicloud environment based on a set of trusted third parties (TTPs). These independent agents are trusted by CUs and CSPs and distributed on different clouds. The TTPs evaluate the CUs' trustworthiness based on the accuracy of feedback ratings and assess the CSPs' trustworthiness based on the quality of service monitoring information. They are connected themselves through the trusted release network, which enables a TTP to obtain trust information about CSPs and CUs from other clouds. With the objective of developing an effective trust management framework, a new approach has been provided to improve trust‐based interactions, that is, able to rank the trusted cloud services (CSs) based on CU's priorities via fuzzy logic. Fuzzy logic is applied to manage the different priorities of CUs, all the CUs do not have the same priorities to use trusted CSs. Customizing service ranking allows CUs to apply trusted CSs based on their priorities. Experiments on real datasets well matched the analytical results, indicating that our proposed approach is effective and outperforms the existing approaches. | 2017 | A Method for Prioritizing Integration Testing in Software Product Lines Based on Feature ModelabstractTesting activities for software product lines should be different from that of single software systems, due to significant differences between software product line engineering and single software system development. The cost of testing in software product line is generally higher compared with single software systems; therefore, there should exist a certain balance between cost, quality of final products, and the time of performing testing activities. As decreasing testing cost is an important challenge in software product line integration testing, the contribution of this paper is in introducing a method for early integration testing in software product lines based on feature model (FM) by prioritizing test cases in order to decrease integration testing costs in SPLs. In this method, we focus on reusing domain engineering artifacts and prioritized selection and execution of integration test cases. It also uses separation of concerns and pruning techniques on FMs to help prioritize the test cases. The method shows to be promising when applied to some case studies in the sense that it decreases the costs of performing integration test by about 82% and also detects about 44% of integration faults in domain engineering. | 2017 | Trust estimation of the semantic web using semantic web clusteringabstractDevelopment of semantic web and social network is undeniable in the Internet world these days. Widespread nature of semantic web has been very challenging to assess the trust in this field. In recent years, extensive researches have been done to estimate the trust of semantic web. Since trust of semantic web is a multidimensional problem, in this paper, we used parameters of social network authority, the value of pages links authority and semantic authority to assess the trust. Due to the large space of semantic network, we considered the problem scope to the clusters of semantic subnetworks and obtained the trust of each cluster elements as local and calculated the trust of outside resources according to their local trusts and trust of clusters to each other. According to the experimental result, the proposed method shows more than 79% Fscore that is about 11.9% in average more than Eigen, Tidal and centralised trust methods. Mean of error in this proposed method is 12.936, that is 9.75% in average less than Eigen and Tidal trust methods. Hossein Shirgahi, Mehran Mohsenzadeh, Hamid Haj Seyyed Javadi |

| 2013 | Boundary query solution using convex hull algorithmabstractAn important issue in database (DB) systems is responding to different users’ queries in an acceptable time. To do this, we should define different queries based on users’ real needs and we should consider suitable solutions. In this article, we express a new query called ‘boundary query’ which is used for achieving an overall view of a subject in the DB. This query does not return all query answers but it returns boundary values that cover all answers for the related query. In this article, we map a DB environment to a vector space based on necessary attributes. Then we implement the proposed method, and based on the results, we observe that the proposed method's run time is acceptable for huge DBs. | 2010 | A Framework for Fuzzy Based Semantic Web Service Publish/SubscribeabstractSemantic web service technology has a high potential for integrating heterogeneous applications. Web service capabilities are impossible to be used without having a precise service discovery mechanism. The increase in the precision of this mechanism depends upon taking QoS specification of services in service discovery process into account. Since using linguistic quantities in non-functional attribute description is popular, fuzzy logic is appropriate for being used in representation of non-functional attribute description. In this paper, a fuzzy logic-based framework is proposed which allows publication and subscription of semantic web services alongside with maintaining its consistency with standard UDDI and application of fuzzy synthetic evaluation and multi-objective decision-making algorithms. This framework allows increasing the consistency of interpreting request and service by natural language process (NLP) and thesaurus approaches on one hand and deferring interpretation time of non-functional aspects of published service on the other hand. Moreover, the proposed framework does not try to decrease subjectivity of discovery/publication request and attempts to find the most matched service to consumer's subjective request by separately taking individual consumer's preferences into account.
