Linguistic methods in healthcare application and COVID-19 variants classificationabstractOne of the most important goals of modern medicine is prevention against pandemic and civilization diseases. For such tasks, advanced IT infrastructures and intelligent AI systems are used, which allow supporting patients' diagnosis and treatment. In our research, we also try to define efficient tools for coronavirus classification, especially using mathematical linguistic methods. This paper presents the ways of application of linguistics techniques in supporting effective management of medical data obtained during coronavirus treatments, and possibilities of application of such methods in classification of different variants of the coronaviruses detected for particular patients. Currently, several types of coronavirus are distinguished, which are characterized by differences in their RNA structure, which in turn causes an increase in the rate of mutation and infection with these viruses. | 2021 | Customer-oriented sales modeling strategy in a big data environmentabstractAbstract In order to provide personally oriented solutions in sales strategies for different retailers in the fierce market competition, data mining is being increasingly used in retail industry. We use customer‐oriented data mining technology to extract valuable information from a great amount of historical commercial data, so that we can provide different sales promotions for merchants to extend the business. "Small profits and quick returns" is a popular sales strategy to increase sales volume by many shopping malls. By using statistical modeling, we establish a mathematical model to analysis the relationships among the discount rate, the turnover and the profit margin according to the historical sales data of a shopping mall in recent two years. Base on this, the paper conducts the empirical research on small profits and quick returns and make sales recommendations on promotions. Our analysis indicates that the effect of discount rate on turnover is greater than the effect of profit rate on turnover in the retail industry. It is also necessary to consider the different nature of goods. The final computing results are also influenced by different types of goods. Furthermore, we consider the classification of goods into three types: the sell‐well goods, the common goods, and the unsalable goods and analyze them in the similar framework. The paper shows that there are different characteristics for the different types. Weijun Chen 0004, Urszula Ogiela, Jindan Zhang

Transformative and cognitive approaches to information retrieval and security proceduresabstractSummary Transformative computing is a new area of computer technologies. It is also a new paradigm, which allows to join wireless communication with sensor networks and artificial intelligence technologies. It considerably enhances computing possibilities, increases efficiency of data exploration and analysis, as well as information retrieval using sensors or augmented cognition. In this article, we describe possible applications of cognitive security protocols for such computing application, especially focused on security, and data exploration in distributed systems. Also will be presented the impact of cognitive protocols for securing wireless systems and sensors infrastructures. Urszula Ogiela

Improved publicly verifiable auditing protocol for cloud storageabstractSummary Outsourcing data to cloud servers is a popular service for data owners, however, how to check the integrity and freshness of the outsourced data is very challenge. Recently, Jin et al. proposed a cloud auditing protocol with full integrity and freshness support for cloud data, unfortunately in this article, we show their proposal is not secure. Concretely, the cloud servers can forge the authentication tag and thus has the ability to forge proof of data possession, which obviously invalidates their cloud auditing protocol. We also give a new cloud auditing protocol and analysis its security and performance. The results show our protocol is more efficient and secure. | 2020 | Cognitive cryptography for data security in cloud computingabstractSummary This paper presents new approach for creation of advanced multilevel user authentication protocols using hybrid CAPTCHA codes. Such codes will define a new class of cognitive CAPTCHAs, which, during verification, require from users special skills and knowledge, which is necessary for proper authentication. This way of authentication may be oriented for providing data access only for a special group of experts or trusted users who represent particular expertise areas and have special perception abilities and knowledge. For presented authentication protocols, possible examples of applications will be presented, and security features will be described. Presented innovative verification codes will considerably expand the existed security protocols toward the creation of cognitive‐based approaches oriented for user authentication. Such approaches define novel classes of cryptographic procedures, which can use personal features and perception skills. Urszula Ogiela

Linguistic techniques for cryptographic data sharing algorithmsabstractSummary This publication presents algorithms for protecting data from unauthorised access to it. A special role among information protection algorithms is played by algorithms of data splitting and sharing which allow the information to be distributed within a selected group of secret trustees. This paper describes protocols of the above type and also suggests a way of using the proposed solutions for linguistic information sharing. Linguistic message–sharing algorithms are described as a class of protocols for protecting data with its possible semantic interpretation. This is because the semantic analysis allows the content‐based interpretation of various information sets. The proposed methods are very useful from different points of view. Authors would like to present one possible application which is cognitive service management and data‐sharing systems applied for cloud computing. Urszula Ogiela, Lidia Ogiela

Visual CAPTCHA application in linguistic cryptographyabstractSummary This paper presents an idea of linguistic cryptography and linguistic techniques for data analysis. The main aspects are using parts of divided information to reconstruct them. Linguistic techniques dedicated to cryptography, as well as secret splitting and sharing, are very useful to secure all information and all parts of them. Very important aspects of cryptographic algorithms are played by techniques of data division as well as data splitting and information sharing algorithms. Those methods allow the distributed data within a different selected group of secret trustees. In this paper, authors described algorithms of using those methods for linguistic data sharing techniques. In those methods, CAPTCHA analysis plays an important role. All secret parts of information can be written by using any parts of the selected CAPTCHA procedures. Urszula Ogiela, Makoto Takizawa 0001, Lidia Ogiela
