| 2026 | DV-Hop Localization Based on Probability Distance Estimation and Expected Hop Distance CorrectionabstractDistance estimation and theoretical derivation in 3D space form the foundation basis for improving localization performance in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). Localization is a pivotal challenge in wireless sensor network (WSN) applications. To address this issue, we propose a probability-based distance estimation (PDE) model and a distance correction strategy based on expected hops (DCSEH). First, the PDE model is constructed from the multi-hop probability distribution of nodes, from which the upper bound and average distance for anchor nodes to detect target nodes under different hop counts are derived. Second, the DCSEH strategy effectively mitigates transmission-path detours in wireless node communication. Finally, the constructed loss function is embedded into a multi-objective genetic algorithm to predict the position of each unknown node in three-dimensional space. Extensive experiments demonstrate that the proposed method achieves state-of-the-art 3D localization performance on both random and multimodal datasets. | 2024 | Comparative Analysis of ImageNet Pre-Trained Deep Learning Models and DINOv2 in Medical Imaging ClassificationabstractMedical image analysis frequently encounters data scarcity challenges. Transfer learning has been effective in addressing this issue while conserving computational resources. The recent advent of foundational models like the DINOv2, which uses the vision transformer architecture, has opened new opportunities in the field and gathered significant interest. However, DINOv2's performance on clinical data still needs to be verified. In this paper, we performed a glioma grading task using three clinical modalities of brain MRI data. We compared the performance of various pre-trained deep learning models, including those based on ImageNet and DINOv2, in a transfer learning context. Our focus was on understanding the impact of the freezing mechanism on performance. We also validated our findings on three other types of public datasets: chest radiography, fundus radiography, and dermoscopy. Our findings indicate that in our clinical dataset, DINOv2's performance was not as strong as ImageNet-based pre-trained models, whereas in public datasets, DINOv2 generally outperformed other models, especially when using the frozen mechanism. Similar performance was observed with various sizes of DINOv2 models across different tasks. In summary, DINOv2 is viable for medical image classification tasks, particularly with data resembling natural images. However, its effectiveness may vary with data that significantly differs from natural images such as MRI. In addition, employing smaller versions of the model can be adequate for medical task, offering resource-saving benefits. Our codes are available at https://github.com/GuanghuiFU/medical_dino_eval. | 2024 | HemSeg-200: A Voxel-Annotated Dataset for Intracerebral Hemorrhages Segmentation in Brain CT ScansabstractAcute intracerebral hemorrhage is a life-threatening condition that demands immediate medical intervention. Intraparenchymal hemorrhage (IPH) and intraventricular hemorrhage (IVH) are critical subtypes of this condition. Clinically, when such hemorrhages are suspected, immediate CT scanning is essential to assess the extent of the bleeding and to facilitate the formulation of a targeted treatment plan. While current research in deep learning has largely focused on qualitative analyses, such as identifying subtypes of cerebral hemorrhages, there remains a significant gap in quantitative analysis crucial for enhancing clinical treatments. Addressing this gap, our paper introduces a dataset comprising 222 CT annotations, sourced from the RSNA 2019 Brain CT Hemorrhage Challenge and meticulously annotated at the voxel level for precise IPH and IVH segmentation. This dataset was utilized to train and evaluate seven advanced medical image segmentation algorithms, with the goal of refining the accuracy of segmentation for these hemorrhages. Our findings demonstrate that this dataset not only furthers the development of sophisticated segmentation algorithms but also substantially aids scientific research and clinical practice by improving the diagnosis and management of these severe hemorrhages. Our dataset and codes are available at https://github.com/songchangwei/3DCT-SD-IVH-ICH. Changwei Song, Qing Zhao 0005, Jianqiang Li 0002, Xin Yue, Ruoyun Gao, Zhaoxuan Wang, An Gao, Guanghui Fu |

| 2023 | Patchmatch Stereo++: Patchmatch Binocular Stereo with Continuous Disparity OptimizationabstractCurrent deep-learning-based stereo matching algorithms achieve remarkably low error rates but they suffer from the edge ambiguity effect. The primary reason is that they treat disparity estimation as a labeling problem, constructing a cost volume based on uniform discrete pixel-wise labels. It is insufficient to model the continuous disparity probability distribution (DPD), which harms the accuracy of complex regions. Moreover, current cost aggregation strategies cannot process unstructured disparity candidates very well, which is one of the bottlenecks limiting continuous modeling. We propose Patchmatch Stereo++, inspired by the traditional Patchmatch Stereo to achieve better continuous disparity optimization in deep-learning-based methods. Firstly, to model accurate continuous DPD, we introduce an adaptive dense sub-pixel sampling strategy to binocular stereo and approximate a continuous unstructured DPD for every pixel. Secondly, we design a convolution-based optimizer that can accept unstructured disparity candidates to parse the above continuous DPD in an adaptive manner and perform updates accordingly. Extensive experiments demonstrate our method has the best performance among existing stereo matching networks at the edges, both quantitatively and qualitatively. At the time of submission, compared with published works pre-trained on SceneFlow, we rank 1st in the foreground of KITTI and 2nd on SceneFlow, ETH3D under various metrics. The source code will be released. | 2014 | Sharing Bandwidth by Allocating Switch Buffer in Data Center NetworksabstractIn today's data centers, the round trip propagation delay is quite small. Therefore, switch buffer sizes are much larger than the Bandwidth Delay Product (BDP). Based on this observation, in this paper we introduce a new transport protocol which provides bandwidth Sharing by Allocating switch Buffer (SAB) for data centers. SAB sets the congestion windows for flows based on the buffer size of the switches along the path. On one hand, as long as the total buffer allocated to all the flows is larger than the BDP, the network bandwidth can be fully utilized. On the other hand, since SAB only allocates the buffer space to flows, the totally injected traffic will not exceed the network capacity. Thus, SAB rarely loses packets. SAB also reduces flow completion time by allowing flows to reach their fair share of bandwidth quickly. The results of a series of experiments and simulations demonstrate that SAB has the features of fast convergence and rare packet loss. It reduces the latency of short flows and solves theTCP Incast and TCP Outcast problems. Jiao Zhang 0002, Fengyuan Ren, Xin Yue, Ran Shu 0001, Chuang Lin 0002 |

| 2010 | Research on the Structure of the Service Industry under Duopoly MarketabstractAfter the sale of goods, more and more manufacturers provide product-supplementary services. This paper analyzes the structure of the service industry under duopoly market. The two periods Bertrand Nash game is used to discuss the competition among two manufacturers and one service provider. The two manufacturers can provide similar products and the service provider can only provide the similar product-supplementary service. It shows that the service provider can reduce the entry barriers to consumers and improve consumer welfare. In the short term, the manufacturers can gain more market share by increasing the switch cost. However, in the long run, the method of increasing the switch cost must reduce the motivation for consumers to choose services, which results in the overall market slump. Not only do the service provider lose much market share, but also the two manufacturers. Xin Yue, Jianhui Xie, Zhanhong Xin |
