2024 General Commerce Intelligence: Glocally Federated NLP-Based Engine for Privacy-Preserving and Sustainable Personalized Services of Multi-Merchants
abstract
One of the most crucial capabilities in the commercial sector is a personalized prediction of a customer's next purchase. We present a novel method of creating a commerce intelligence engine that caters to multiple merchants intended for the UB Platform, managed by e-payment company Harex InfoTech. To cultivate this intelligence, we utilized payment receipt data and created a Natural Language Processing (NLP)-based commerce model using a Transformer to accommodate multinational and merchant trade. Our model, called General Commerce Intelligence (GCI), provides a range of services for merchants, including product recommendations, product brainstorming, product bundling, event promotions, collaborative marketing, target marketing, and demand fore-casting etc. To bolster user privacy and foster sustainable business collaboration, especially among micro-, small-, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), the GCI model was trained through federated learning, especially with glocalization. This study delves into the structure, development, and assessment of GCI, showcasing its transformative capacity to implement User Centric AI and re-shape the global commerce landscape to benefit MSMEs.

2020 Embedding Convolution Neural Network-Based Defect Finder for Deployed Vision Inspector in Manufacturing Company Frontec
abstract
In collaboration with Frontec, which produces parts such as bolts and nuts for the automobile industry, Kyung Hee University and Benple Inc. develop and deploy AI system for automatic quality inspection of weld nuts. Various constraints to consider exist in adopting AI for the factory, such as response time and limited computing resources available. Our convolutional neural network (CNN) system using large-scale images must classify weld nuts within 0.2 seconds with accuracy over 95%. We designed Circular Hough Transform based preprocessing and an adjusted VGG (Visual Geometry Group) model. The system showed accuracy over 99% and response time of about 0.14 sec. We use TCP / IP protocol to communicate the embedded classification system with an existing vision inspector using LabVIEW. We suggest ways to develop and embed a deep learning framework in an existing manufacturing environment without a hardware change.

2009 Design of ubiquitous sound service business model as a commerce-embedded media
abstract
Unlike the previous speaker transmitting audio content in one-way, the speaker in ubiquitous era is expected to offer useful and interesting information to media consumer and take a role as a new media nowadays. This research suggests Ubiquitous Sound service business model that can realize 'Seamlessness' between an individual user and a speaker in the Ubiquitous computing environment. Unlike the previous speaker appealing to the human's auditory sense, U-Speaker enables the seamless information transmission between speaker and users by providing the personal device users with the content link as well as the content from the speaker. This paper suggests four kinds of U-Speaker scenarios that can be realized in ubiquitous computing environment through various technical alternatives and analyze the participants and their roles of the business model.

2008 Ubiquitous Business Model by Seamless Integration of Photo and Location Information
abstract
Photos are one of the most popular contents in many social networking sites, and their usage is suitable for commercial purposes because a particular place has its own characteristic or symbolic meaning related to products and services. However, it is difficult to find business models using photos due to limitation that is to save and use location information automatically and systematically. U-Photo business model which we propose in this paper is a sort of network business model to connect content producer, consumer and sponsor. It also promotes specific location where end user takes photos to sponsor who wants to advertise through the location. The aim of this research is to develop a new business model using photos in U-Commerce/Media environment. We also analyze the implications of this business model and evaluate this business model to judge that it is going to work well in the real market.

2008 Design of Tag Match Advertising System and the Evaluation of the Business Model
abstract
This paper designs the dasiatag matchpsila advertising system which uses mobile RFID. Tag match advertising (TMA) combines features of the mobile RFID characteristics and content match advertising model on the Internet. TMA can be defined as dasiaan advertising model, based on mobile RFID application, which offers advertisement for users after the consideration of userspsila demographic information, the location and time when users scan a RFID tag and the content of the tag when users scan it. This paper proposes the architectures and the user interface of TMA and evaluates the feasibilities of the business model by assessing the assumptions that are the basis of structured model.

2006 A payment & receipt business model in U-commerce environment
abstract
The key to U-payment is convenience and security in the transfer of financial information. The purpose of this paper is to find a desirable U-payment scheme promoting seamlessness and privacy with a consumer device and peer-based information transactions. We also propose a new business model through digital receipt which is evidence of commercial decision making and transaction. We propose U-PR (Ubiquitous Payment and Receipt) business model and method as a way to make transactions seamless, secure and privacy protected.

2006 A pervasive comparison shopping business model for integrating offline and online marketplace
abstract
In always-online environment that allows consumers to be online anytime, anyplace, the next step will be the integration of online and offline markets and there is a possibility that the role of offline retailers shifts to that of a displayer. When this occurs, appropriate technological devices and business models should be explored so that both displayers and retailers can benefit. To this end, this paper proposes an Auto-Identification technology (e.g. RFID)-based pervasive comparison shopping business model. The auto-identification technology will allow consumers to be seamlessly connected to the network, and the advent of a new shopping network will enable an incentive mechanism between displayers and retailers. Ultimately, a new shopping network will enable consumers to be engaged in seamless commerce.
