2019 Establishing Trusted and Timely Information Source using Social Media Services
abstract
Social media is regarded as one of the most timely sources of information. Nevertheless, malicious users may misuse such media, and it may lead to severe incidents. Countermeasures to remove malicious user accounts and remove untrusted information need to be built. Various studies have been conducted until now. In this paper, we first provide an overview of recent work in this domain and then introduce our approach. Our preliminary experiment shows the feasibility of the research and discusses the future direction of this research.

2017 Self-Regulator: Preliminary Research of the Effects of Supporting Time Management on Learning Behaviors
abstract
This preliminary research investigates the effects of self-regulated learning support using the system "Self-regulator (SR)," and relationships between self-regulated learning awareness, learning behaviors, and perceived effects of SR. The results showed that the course with SR promoted "meet the deadline" awareness. The results of Spearman's correlation analysis revealed that procrastination awareness for high performance is one of the key factors for time management, which is an important factor of self-regulated learning.

2016 On the approximate maximum likelihood estimation in stochastic model of SQL injection attacks
abstract
SQL injection is one of vulnerabilities of web application and there is a risk of an unauthorized access if web application has this vulnerability. A lot of heuristic prevention and detection methods of SQL injection attacks have been developed, however, theoretical performance analysis is difficult about them. In this paper, an approximate maximum likelihood estimation of parameter of a stochastic model which imitates the property of SQL injection attacks would be proposed. Furthermore, its effectiveness would be considered by investigating relationships between our proposed method and linear classification methods such as soft confidence weighted learning (SCW) and support vector machine (SVM).

2014 Feature Extraction of the Nursing Techniques from Hand Motion Data
abstract
It is not easy to acquire nursing techniques from lectures only, but research on transforming a tacit knowledge of nursing techniques into a formal knowledge has started recently. In this paper, we analyze the coordinate information of hand motion data in an intravenous injection, and discuss on the possibility of formulating information.

2014 SQL injection attack detection method using the approximation function of zeta distribution
abstract
SQL injection attack is one of web application attack which intend to give damage to database on web application, it is the growing serious problem with increasing internet users. Generally, SQL injection attack is detected by listing system using web application firewall, but listing system has weakness for detecting a new attack. In order to overcome the weakness, detection method using machine learning and probabilistic model have been studied. However, that still has not reached a basic solution. In this paper, we give the formula to calculate the parameter of zeta distribution, and we propose a SQL injection attack detection method using the above formula. In addition, we have experimented to evaluate the performance of our proposed method, and we confirmed that the detection performance of attack data is well by comparing some conventional method.

2011 On automatic detection of SQL injection attacks by the feature extraction of the single character
abstract
The SQL injection attack causes very serious problem to web applications which have database including personal data. To detect the SQL injection attack, the parsing and the black list based on the existed attack have been widely used. However, a new attack method that is not included by the black list has still been developed. In this paper, we proposed the detecting method based on single character, and show the effectiveness of the proposed method experimentally using both attack and normal samples.

abstract
The sigmoid function has been widely used in the problem of the two value distinction. In this paper, we prepare a function which is similar to a sigmoid function, and show that our proposed model is valid to the SQL Injection attack detection than the method using a sigmoid function.

2010 Gateway Selection in Multi-Hop Wireless Networks Using Route and Link Optimization
abstract
In recent years, along with the increasing popularity of multi-hop wireless networks, there has been a growing demand in the coupling of these networks to external ones such as the Internet. As traffic destined for external networks increases, special attention is required not only in gateway selection, but also in optimized routing and scheduling in order to maximize the network performance. In this paper we introduce the Ideally Scheduled Route Optimization (ISRO) method to address this concern. ISRO is the combination of three separate optimization problems: optimal routing of gateway traffic under ideal conditions, interference-free scheduling to determine link capacity, and route adjustment in light of the new link capacities. The performance of ISRO is evaluated by experiment which shows significant potential in maximizing the throughput and capacity of the network.

2008 On Gateway Selection Protocol for DYMO-Based MANET
abstract
The coupling of mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs) and the Internet is gaining attention by researchers working towards future ubiquitous computing environments. In this work, we focus on the situation that occurs when specialized, sensitive data are sent to the Internet from MANET nodes. These special data types are especially susceptible to security risks such as information leak and data falsification. Therefore, it is necessary for such special data to be forwarded by a secure/trusted gateway which is under control of a trusted network administrator. However, we assume there can be multiple gateways deployed in a MANET, where the cost ineffectiveness makes it difficult for a network administrator to simultaneously manage every gateway. Because of the risk of forwarding special data through an unmaintained gateway, we propose a routing protocol which allows a source node to have all data forwarded to the Internet through a trusted gateway. To achieve desirable performance, we improve upon one of the newest routing protocols, Dynamic MANET On-demand (DYMO). Through simulations, we evaluated our proposal in comparison with the conventional DYMO protocol. The results show that our proposal achieves performance allowing MANET source nodes to choose gateways for specific data.

2006 Stiffness Distribution Control - Locomotion of closed Link Robot with Mechanical Softness
abstract
This paper proposes a new method of locomotion control, named "stiffness distribution control (SDC)", to realize various locomotion of a closed link robot with mechanical softness. SDC directly defines the reference stiffness coefficient at each hinge by SDC string which represents the distribution of the stiffness. This simple method does not need costly calculation at all and thus is suitable for controlling closed link robots. We build "BIYOn" as the prototype of closed link robots, the variable stiffness hinge (VSH) of which is newly designed. SDC is experimented on BIYOn and then it's found that SDC is effective in a controlling locomotion in practice. We also develop a systematic optimization method of stiffness distribution composed of two-stage approach and succeed in optimization to obtain a fast and smooth rolling motion and a sudden stopping motion
