2007 An Efficient Parallel Algorithm for the Longest Increasing Subsequence Problem on a LARPBS
abstract
In this paper, we give a parallel algorithm for the longest increasing subsequence problem on a LARPBS, one of the recently proposed parallel model based on optical bus. For a sequence of n integers, we solve the longest increasing subsequence problem in O(k) time using n processors where k is the length of the solution. Then, we give an algorithm for the maximal layers problem that runs in O(k+log(n)) time for a set of n points where k is the number of layers on a n-processor array. To our knowledge, this is the fastest algorithm for that problem.

2006 Power-dependable transactions in mobile networks
abstract
We define a quality-of-power-service (QoPS) metric to evaluate the efficiency of power-aware routing protocols in wireless ad-hoc networks. The aim of power management of routing protocols is to prolong the life-time of individual nodes in wireless network and thus to increase the delivery rate of unicast transactions. QoPS metric is applied to different location-based unicast transaction protocols. The results confirm that power-relative distribution of data streams in multi-paths unicast transaction protocols consume substantially less energy from individual nodes than from other distribution methods. The locality distribution phenomenon discovered by the simulations explains, on the one hand, the long lifetime of large, dense, and highly degree wireless networks, and on the other hand, the short lifetime of small, sparse, and low degree networks.

2005 3D Hexagonal Network: Modeling, Topological Properties, Addressing Scheme, and Optimal Routing Algorithm
abstract
The 2D hexagonal mesh, based on triangle plane tessellation, is considered as a multiprocessor interconnection network. The 3D hexagonal mesh is presented as a natural extension of the hexagonal mesh. Although the topological properties of the 2D hexagonal mesh are well known, existing addressing schemes are not suitable to be extended to 3D hexagonal mesh. Then, we present, in this paper, a new addressing scheme and an optimal routing algorithm for 2D hexagonal network based on the distance formula and using shortest paths. We propose also a 3D hexagonal network that can be built with 2D hexagonal meshes as a natural generalization. We also present some topological properties, an efficient addressing scheme, and an optimal routing algorithm based on our 2D routing algorithm.

2001 A work-optimal CGM algorithm for the LIS problem
abstract
This paper presents a work-optimal CGM algorithm that solves the Longest Increasing Subsequence Problem. It can be implemented in the CGM with P processors in O(N2 ÷P) time and O(P) communication steps. It is the first CGM algorithm for this problem and it is work-optimal since the sequential algorithm has a complexity of O(N2).
