| 2024 | Inter-cell Interference Exploitation through Distributed Symbol Level Precoding for Multi-cell MISO SystemsabstractIn this paper, we propose distributed symbol-level precoding (SLP) schemes to manage inter-cell interference in downlink multi-user multi-cell coordination systems. Initially, we introduce the constructiveness as a novel metric to quantify the received signal quality. We then define the square of the constructiveness-over-noise ratio (CoNR) to represent the equivalent signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). Subsequently, we propose a distributed precoding scheme where each base station (BS) aims to maximize the CoNR obtained by the worst user within its cell while ensuring inter-cell interference remains constructive. To further manage interference, we propose an additional distributed precoding scheme, where each BS enhances overall system performance by maximizing the sum of the minimum constructiveness from both intra-cell and inter-cell interference. Simulation results demonstrate that our proposed distributed precoding schemes surpass traditional block-level precoding in performance. Gangming Lv, Jianping Yang, Xuewen Liao |

| 2022 | Explainable Artificial Intelligence for Evaluation of LiquorabstractComparative analysis of quality and safety monitoring technology has always been the most sensitive topic in the food field. Quality and safety monitoring of liquor is the prerequisite for maintaining market stability and guaranteeing quality. Therefore, it is very important to judge the quality of liquor correctly. In this study, the XGBoost model was used to evaluate the liquor quality of 4899 liquor samples from the Vinho Verde white wine sample dataset in northern Portugal. The influence of 11 liquor characteristics such as volatile Acidity, alcohol, density, and free sulfur dioxide on liquor quality was explained by SHAP, PDP, and other interpretation techniques. The results showed that the XGBoost model had better evaluation performance than the general model. Among the 11 liquor characteristics studied in this paper, liquor quality was affected not only by alcohol content but also by volatile acid, density, and residual sugar. This study can not only provide an objective evaluation method for liquor quality but also make people a further intuitive understanding of the evaluation results, so as to produce better liquor quality. | 2022 | Routing Optimization of Electric Vehicles for Charging With Event-Driven Pricing StrategyabstractWith the increasing market penetration of electric vehicles (EVs), the charging behavior and driving characteristics of EVs have an increasing impact on the operation of power grids and traffic networks. Existing research on EV routing planning and charging navigation strategies mainly focuses on vehicle-road-network interactions, but the vehicle-to-vehicle interaction has rarely been considered, particularly in studying simultaneous charging requests. To investigate the interaction of multiple vehicles in routing planning and charging, a routing optimization of EVs for charging with an event-driven pricing strategy is proposed. The urban area of a city is taken as a case for numerical simulation, which demonstrates that the proposed strategy can not only alleviate the long-time queuing for EV fast charging but also improve the utilization rate of charging infrastructures.Note to Practitioners—This article was inspired by the concerns of difficulties for electric vehicle (EV)’s fast charging and the imbalance of the utilization rate of charging facilities. Existing route optimization and charging navigation research are mainly applicable to static traffic networks, which cannot dynamically adjust driving routes and charging strategies with real-time traffic information. Besides, the mutual impact between vehicles is rarely considered in these works in routing planning. To resolve the shortcomings of existing models, a receding-horizon-based strategy that can be applied to dynamic traffic networks is proposed. In this article, various factors that the user is concerned about within the course of driving are converted into driving costs, through which each road section of traffic networks is assigned the corresponding values. Combined with the graph theory analysis method, the mathematical form of the dynamic traffic network is presented. Then, the article carefully plans and adjusts EV driving routes and charging strategies. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed method can significantly increase the adoption of EV fast charging while alleviating unreasonable distributions of regional charging demand. | 2016 | Ocean internal waves features extraction by analysis of aerial oblique photographyabstractInternal waves are a widespread geophysical phenomenon in stratified fluids and studying internal features in the coastal ocean is an important task. Using satellite imagery for studying oceanic internal waves is very popular and studying the low altitude aerial oblique photograph is a new direction. In this paper, we study the images captured from a circling aircraft which track a number of internal wave packets. The captured images are first rectified and photogram metrically mapped to ground coordinates, and then we use canny edge detector to find the internal wave propagation direction. The first several waves' ridges of each ground coordinated images are also exactly labeled and propagation speeds can be achieved. Experiment results show the performance of our algorithms.
