The bar says who is senior enough to be invited. It is a setting of the venue, one for reviewers and one for area chairs, and you set it before recruiting: the initial pool, the diagnosis and the list of qualified experts only ever propose people who meet the saved bar.

  1. 1 Pick the role. Each tile shows the saved bar of a role and how many experts meet it; click one to edit it below. A bar marked default, not set yet has never been saved.
  2. 2 Find venues by typing a name (KDD), a word of the title (retrieval) or a rank (THU A).
  3. 3 Open a category and tick venues. The venues are in one list under the ten categories of the CCF list. The small buttons tick all of a category's venues, or only those that are CCF A, CORE A* or THU A.
  4. 4 Read the markers. Every venue carries its rank in three lists: the CCF recommended list, the ICORE (CORE) ranking and Tsinghua's list (TH-CPL). A coloured marker is the top rank of that list; a grey one is a lower rank; no marker means the list does not have the venue.
  5. 5 Set the requirement. The junior one counts first-author papers, the senior one papers in any author position, both in the ticked venues and the recent years you give. An expert who meets either qualifies; switch one off to ask for the other only.
  6. 6 Save the bar. The page then tells you how many experts meet it.
  7. 7 Count the experts first if you want to try a bar without saving it.

With no venue ticked, papers in any listed venue count. In the demonstration the reviewer bar lets 7,017 experts through; the area-chair bar asks for twelve papers in five years and lets 1,272 through.
