How to use TaxoReview
Where to start, then a tutorial with screenshots for each page of a venue.
The topics the Taxonomy matching built for your venue, and for each topic whether the pool has enough reviewers for it. Use it to see where the pool is thin before, or after, you assign.
- 1 Reviewers per paper and papers per reviewer are taken from the venue; change them to see what a different load would do, then Recalculate.
- 2 The totals: reviews needed, reviews the pool can give, and how many topics are short, tight or covered.
- 3 How to read the table, with an example taken from your own venue.
- 4 Open or fold a branch with the caret. A topic's numbers include those of the topics under it.
- 5 Reviews needed by the topic's submissions, next to the reviews the pool can give it.
- 6 Coverage: the second number as a share of the first. Red is under 67%, amber under 100%, green 100% or more.
- 7 The verdict in words: how many reviews a topic is short, or that it is covered. A topic with no reviewer here has submissions and nobody whose publications are on it.
These are estimates from where the papers and the reviewers' publications sit in the taxonomy, made before any assignment. To fill a red topic, go to Diagnose & recruit.
